Somalis: Marriage Material?

Any of you lot ever thought about not marrying a somali when your ready?

Like would you personally marry an ajenibi? Could you fall in love with one?

white, Bidda, arab, bariis, latin lol etc?

Would your parents let you....or are they so strict they would let you a somali...in ur tribe lol...

Me personally....as long as the girl is muslim...i think i could, n i think my parents would be kool but no matter what if your happy and your parents bless your marriage, you will frowned upon amongst the somali community...but should that care if your in 'love'?

You act like all muslims have the same interpretation of Islam. Did you know Pakistani's have more sects of muslims then any other race in the world. Did you know that theres a group of Muslims who dont start praying till they reach the age of 40. Did you know that arab muslims dont allow their women to even speak infront of men and watch them closely u will never find them walking together the women always follows. The Prophet(p.b.u.h) said that in Islam there will be soo many sects yet out of all of them only one will attain Jannah,yet some of you keep saying it doesnt matter aslong as he/she is muslim, how could it not matter when even shiha's consider themselves muslims.

I know my mother wouldn’t mind a non Somali but my dad will not be very pleased. But you know the father always has the final say. Anyways even if I was allowed to marry a non Somali I wouldn’t want to. It just makes life more simple when people are from the same place; same religion, same culture, same language.

How comes Somali families are more accepting of some mixes but not others.

For example nearly every Somali family has a son/daughter married to a Yemeni
But what if a girl/boy bought home a Muslim Nigerian?
