Ethiopians, Hawiye and some Tanzanians all in Bosaso to sail
It is Exodus season.
"The Ethiopians are easy to spot in run-down Bossaso. Many have sought shelter in a ruined building next to the harbour – it costs nothing, but they have to spend some of their precious reserves to use the latrines....
Somalis account for about half of the people undertaking these perilous voyages. Most have fled conflict in the southern and central parts of the country, including the capital Mogadishu. Ali, a 25-year-old student from Mogadishu, said he faced danger and an uncertain future in Somalia.
"I need to build my future," he said, adding: "As long as Mogadishu is not peaceful, my future is in Saudi Arabia, where I can have a job and live without fearing for my life."

Hell no, let these poor people sail to whereever they want. They are willing to take grave risks.

Paidmonk, you are not savage. You understand that we are interdependent and thus be tolerant to one another. The Hartis have been culturally and historically known to be tolerant and hospitable to foreign groups and Somalis from central and southern Somalia.

Agreed w/Cabdallah once again.
Somali2003, when the civil war is triggered in Bosaso and you see Hutus with machetes walking out of their makeshift huts in the slums of the city, you will see what I mean.
The Somali Interhamwe MUST be stopped before it begins!
Deportation to Beletweyn TODAY!

Beletwein is not a stable city either. The insurgents were moving to Beletwein as a base one time and in the process killed many civilians.
It will be benevolent gesture if you give them access to Bosaaso. Ethiopians work hard in Bosaaso ,doing a much needed menial work for their sailing expenses.

That is exploitation in reality but at least they can still work to save enough for the risky trip. The trip costs around $50 or $70.

You have unfounded fear for these hapless people. They just want to live peacefull in a third country, first in Yemen en route to Saudi Arabia.
The TFG has solidified its authority and political legitimacy. Don't ever fear of Hutus uprising . They will be tamed and domesticated with control measures and presidential decree. It needs time though.
