Hunt for youths over stab death

The 17-year-old victim was found dead at the scene
Police are searching for a group of youths seen running away from the scene where a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death.
Officers were called by ambulance staff to Chesterford Road, in Newham, east London, at 2339 BST on Thursday.

The victim has been named as Mohammed Ahmed from east London.

A post-mortem examination confirmed he died of a stab wound. Two 16-year-old youths arrested over the death have been released without charge.

'Gang violence'

They are being questioned by police at an east London police station.

Neighbours said they heard shouting and swearing in the street shortly before the teenager was stabbed.

One man said he saw up to three young men running away shortly before midnight on Thursday.

Officers are investigating whether the victim knew his attackers or if a row took place before the attack.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Inquiries continue to establish the circumstances that led to the incident but at this early stage we do not believe the murder to be gang-related."

One neighbour, Philip Cowan, 66, said: "It's a good area, it's usually quiet, and this is very shocking, there's been nothing else like it round here before."

On Friday, police sealed off a 100-yard stretch of Chesterford Road as they conducted searches of surrounding roads.

My condolences to his family, these kids are lost walaahay. Probably another somali did this they make me sick fighting over areas.

They seem totally unaware that their parents uprooted themselves to save them and give them a better life, and how do they repay them? not by getting educated and working hard but by joining a gang and saying BRAAAAAAAP BRAAAAAAAAP what utter fools.

Yes. That is true. I saw some footage on a Somali website a couple of months back, these Somali boys were from Boston who didn't speak English or their accent was newly founded proclaiming "My name is Cashmoney, I am from b-town...doggggg, this my hometown" wearing clothing that were disgusting, pants to the floor, those shinny hoodies wore by adoon hip-hop stars.

Somali youth are going on a downward spiral. The men are in coffee shops talking about qabiil, the women are wearing diraac thinking about what wedding they'll go to next week, while their children self destruct and befriend monkeys.

May Allah (SWT) have mercy on Mohamed.

I would recommend Somalis in London to move to America. That country's way of life is utterly retrogressive.

Didn't exactly hear that. And adult Jamaicans in England are more dangerous than any somalis there.

Jamaicans are tough anywhere they go in the world. Right here in America for example, the huge communities in NY, Miami, makes any Jamaican feel at home.
