Total depravity! The women resort to selling sex, while the men wash cars to earn little bit of money to feed themselves.

Re: The desperate condition of somalis in Yemen.
Why don't they leave and go back to their country, I swear it's better for them at home. Life ain’t anywhere this appalling at home.
Somalis are just focked walahi, apart from the whole lot of other things that is wrong with us, now we can't even make good decisions for ourselves?
They should go back to their focking country.

Bosaaso is no more better than Sana'a
if they are lucky to get into one of the rich Arab countries...they might have a better chance...but will still be discriminate by our SHOULD-BE...brothers in Islam...subxanallah

Re: The desperate condition of somalis in Yemen.
I wonder whether the sale of sex is condoned in Islam when it comes to a life or death situation. I mean I have heard of arguments that if a Muslim faces starvation and he/she come across a dead pig they are permitted to eat the pig and it is no longer haram--simply because there was nothing else he/she could have done to survive. So, under the circumstances that these men and women face in Yemen would it be haram for them to resort to such immoral practices? I would assume that the fault is with those who are paying for the sex and it is they who are committing the haram rather than the poor starving refugees. What do you guys think?

You shouldn't be asking what we think or our opinion on the issue. Instead, you should ask if there's a fatwa on the issue. You shouldn't also assume what you have assumed. This issue certainly hasn't slipped the attention of Muslim scholars, sheikhs, ulema, etc.

And do you know what, they prefer that life of misery to returning back to their own country.
Somalis are in a desperate state, a whole nation where the biggest ambition is to become a refugee.
One thing I don't understand, other nationalities find it shameful and embarrasing to be refugees (especially the men) so why do so somali men not even feel a twinge of embarrasment.

They are mostly Eelaay, Rer Xamar and Hawiye. If they could only have a network to help their needy people.

I really wish I could help them. The Puntland authority really needs to crackdown on human trafficking. It's as if they don't care.
