The "dating" world can be hostile and the simple fact that the number of well-established brothers in the dating game are dwindeling doesn't help the situation.

Back to our parents' generation, people were decent, men knew how to undertake the task of marriage, they were responsible ever before they reached the age 20.

Everywhere I look these days, I see no man worthy of my two nieces who have reached their prime ages for marriage. They are both educated, one has completed her studies, while the other one attends a prestigious university, they are both attractive and come from good homes (walaahi, I do not lie).

Just a few days ago, one of my nieces said to me "Abti, what happened to good Somali men?" and it struck me right there and then that this problem must be bigger than we like to think.

What is going on with the brothers? When are going to take care of our women, before another man does the job??

91, the masjid is always a good place to look! I keep asking myself where are all the good Somali sisters? so it must be due to lack of communication?

I know the mosque is the best place to find a future husband for a niece/daughter, but will such men live up to the expectations of the women??

heh, I'll be that brother in 4-5 years inshallah (educated and fresh out of the college life)

DAYUM...my somali isn't the greatest, but atleast I'm trying ayeeyo woke me up last year and I am so much better... 2 years ago I'd probably be the same as her

I met a half Somali brother on campus Musallah to pray duhur, his aabo is Somali and his hooyo is like from Trinidad...he speaks no somali at all either
