The Relationship and Ritual Secrecy of Sr. Aideed and Ethiop

Post by DONKEYMAN »

Many delusional folks mainly from Habargidir clan think that General Aideed, the father of destruction and doom in Somalia, had no ties with Ethiopia. Ethiopia supported Aideed and supplied him with weapons to maim and kill civilians in all over Somalia until he died and the younger Aideed assumed the role of his father by maintaining his fathers' grip on the fertile regions of Bay and Bakool. Ethiopia still continued to support the younger Aideed not as much as his father but as a dependable ally. Frustrated with the lack of full support, younger Aideed turned to Egypt for support and later started providing safe haven to Oromo opposition groups. This reverse of personality by Jr. Aideed led Ethiopia to shift their support to RRA and lastly intervene by invading Bay and Bakool.

""The proxy war

Ethiopian policy in southern Somalia was also influenced by Mogadishu faction leaders, particularly Husayn Muhammad Aydid in south Mogadishu. Although the Ethiopian government enjoyed a period of good relations with his father, General Muhammad Farah Aydid, there was a significant rift by the time the general died, in 1996.""
