The Tusbaax is an innovation/Bidcah and the scholars talked about it. Its not something the Prophet (saw) did, so theres no need for it. Also, the best way to remember Allah (swt) is by obeying him, and following the way of his prophet, because if you do so, you've shown that you've remembered him hence the meaning of the word Dhikr (rememberence). Sitting in a circle and reciding chants and hymns doesn't necessairly mean your remembering Allah (swt). However, we could get together anytime, to talk about the Tawhid (Oneness Of Allah), our Caqeedah (Belief) etc., and any halal food items would suffice.

Don't jump to conclusions. These brothers and the brothers of the Sunnah, believe in the Quran, The Sunnah, and follow the way of the companions of the Prophet (Saw) like Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali etc. Thats it. As for the sects part, brother start to learn about your relgion, and learn the deen. That way you will be free from all these misguided sects.

muslims called ahlu sunnah don't want to be identified as muslims and are a sect and there more than 70 sunni sects. prophet mohamed brought islam and believers of his message are called muslims not ahlu sunnah. that is what the prophet called his followers muslims and mu'minuunis. not salafis-takfiris-xizb-sufi-wahabi-this all human intrepretations--remember for the allah and his prophet we are only muslims.

Theres so called Muslims who worship the graves, or worship Ali (RA), crizicize the Sahabah of the Rasul (Saw). One must differentiate himself from these groups and distance himself away from them. Of course we're Muslims first and foremost, and we're Muslims who FOLLOW the Sunnah. Again brother, we should all seek knowledge, learn the Quran, read the Ahadith, learn about our Aqeedah, and first and foremost the Tawhid or oness of Allah (swt). And if you think following the way of the prophet is not important, Allah says "Say if you really believe in Allah, then follow me, and Allah will love you". If you love Allah, you'll follow his Rasul. Again, lets learn the religion.

Berberawi is indeed a Salafi Jadiid, they literally worship him, the ones in ATL carry his recordings with him as if it is the Qu'ran itself and give it to everyone they meet. Yet, they denounce Sh. Umal, Sh. Umar Farooq and almost all other Somali clerics.

They also blindly follow a Yemeni "Scholar" called Yaxye Xajoori who spews lies against most Sunni scholars. He called Sh. Qardawi the Howling Dog, what kind of behavior is that?

do you refuse to call urself a muslim? a muslim believes on allah's book the quraan major and the sunnah of the prophet minor to quraan, a compliment. when u call urself ahlu sunnah, you neglect the quraan the major in the belief. which do you choose, muslim or ahlu sunnah. refusing to be called a muslim and only ahlu sunnah sounds like a reformed christianity. like the anglicans and baptists. good luck.

I'll listen to Sheikh Berberawi, Sh Qardawi, and everybody inbetween if what they are saying is Al Xaqq. If what there saying is not, then I'll walk away, and when I do walk away, I won't speak any ill of them, and will ask Allah to guide them. I'm a Taalibul Cilm, and I'm not going to get caught into this person is this, or that person is this. I'll leave that for the scholars, and Allah is the judge. All that being said, one thing that cannot be denied is that this scholar, I have come across a WEALTH of recourses and lessons about Usul athalatha, Qawacid Arbaraca, An-Naxu, and several other lessons. I'm having a feast.

I hear your point, but why would you want to listen to a man who lacks basic Islamic ettiquete i.e. gossips & lies about other more knowledgable scholars? I am reffering to Yaxye Xajoori. Sh. Qardawi is an admirable man, he has a weekly segment on Al-Jazeera Arabic entitled "Al Marwah Wal Xayaa" i.e. Women & Life, he is very progrerssive regarding womens' issues, that is where the Salafis see it as a weakness...

Regarding Musika, ignore him, that is what I do, 78% of the time...

who is sunni? isn't sunnis about the 4 madhabs, maliki, hanafi, shafi and hanbali? where did ahlu sunnah, salafi and salafi jadiid come from? isn't the 4 madhabs what sunnism is based and claim to be following the right guidance against shiats and other non-sunnis? there are many political sects who claim sunni nowadays. some like these dudes who are born again muslims don't even bother calling themselves muslims. good luck to your sects, but respect me if i call myself only as a muslim.
