So now there are four "Islamists" resistances in the mix. The Muqawaama under Bilal, the Shabbab under Ayro, al-Ittihad under Turki, and this new Alliance for the Re-Liberation of Somalia under Sharif Sheikh Ahmed.

its not about qabiil sxb..if it was I would have supported Indhacadde....I cannot have support for someone just based on qabiil, its about the character....Do you know that this guy Adan Ceyrow started this movement with few ak47s and couple of friends back in 2005?

Adan boy don't worry about KK and Abdiwahab. They supported Abdi Qeybdiid over the ICU and now they support the Asmara conference over Al-Shabaab's ruling because their madhab was never Islamic based. It was always Hawiye power base. Diin kamay ahayn.
Al-Shabaab all the way. We Mareexaan sent support in Galgaloto and god knows we would be their biggest supporters today in the fight against Ethiopia if they did not skip Shabellada Hoose and Cayr to come and take over Kismaayo. Then they only arranged a fake ceremony of power turn over when they saw Mareexaan was fire bombing them every in Kismaayo and most Somalis saw it as tribalist movement.

Personally I don't see anything wrong or unislamic about Sharif Sheikh Ahmed forming an alliance with secular and diaspora Somalis. If anything, al-Shabaab's inflexibility is what's counterproductive. Sheikh Sharif is trying to form a more broad-based government that can appeal to all Somalis. I think he'd make a great President of Somalia.
