Your Local Town/City EID Celebrations Threads

Post by AbdiWahab252 »

List your local Eid Celebrations in this thread.

Ramadan is flying by fast and I am shedding weight like a lil kid in Baidoa.

I am waiting for the end of the offseason to get back in the game.

Luq,

Yep, The Muru + your favorite qabil) = get it ?

VA is the sort of place where you get seedis without knowing it. It happened to me and all of a sudden I am getting free coffees, warm welcomes from the rival koox at Doofarley Starbucks.

My mom gets a call asking if I had gone made and what drove me to this woman yada yada yada

Then I find out its another close relative of mine but since my rer are few in metroDC area, some folks thought it was me Laughing

Like every Eid, we are going to gather at this facility that we rent out, prayer will start at around 8:30 AM, followed by a khutbah, people swap gifts or share sweets, then everyone goes their separate ways.

I am planning on taking my nieces & nephews to Georgia Aquariam: the world's largest aquarium and its right in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Then after that maybe swing by for pizza and sodas.

Go home & take a power nap, wake up at around 5 PM, stuff myself with sweets & tea.

Then at nightime, we have a community Eid dinner at our masjid that we go to every Eid, its more a social gathering than anything else.

Can't wait!

Koronto,

When was the last time you hit up Safari, or the halal Somali pizza place, or the donut shops in that little strip mall near Sunnah? Laughing Laughing

Btw, that lady at the Safari restaurant serves the best shah I've ever had at a somali maqayat up

Luq,

Are you telling us there are people who pray 12 PM Eid prayers? On what planet? Laughing Laughing

Madina restaurant is by far the best in ATL, better than Safari... up

Its on Memorial Drive, not far from Masjid Assunah and boooy do those reer waqooyi dudes know how to cook... Smile

The halal pizza is the place to go if you want to unleash some bent-up verbal frustration, I almost fought a MJ, about 4 months ago, luckily I was stopped by my brother-in law. I haven't gone back since then... Laughing

Luq,

I go early to get the best line and of course, I used to go parking lot pimping with Xalimos, Ashas and the rest. Time to reconnect with my community Laughing The best time to get a census of all available Xalimos is right after Eid prayers because both the Xalimo in the Luuq and Xalimo in the Party will be there.

My bariis and hilib is not far away inshallah. Its all about finalizing from the 5 candidates and working down to one. So far, I have got friends and family to provide free stuff for the aroos: Free cooking food for the nikaax (Mom's friends), Free DJ (buddy), Free Somali Singer (buddy), Free Photographer (Cousin), Free Decoration Services (Friend), and discounted ballroom (Friend).

Koronto,

Laughing Laughing U know I get more numbers and flirts from women in Ramadan than in any other month. I used to collect their numbers and follow up with them postRamadan.
