It is common knowledge that one of the key reasons for Mourinho not being sacked last season or this summer was that he agreed to play attractive football.... I think letting him go was a MASSIVE mistake by Abramovich.
Jose Mourinho declared that he was a "special one" three years ago. His results and trophy haul over that time confirm what he said was true. Two Premierships, two Carling Cups, an FA Cup and a Community Shield, unbeaten in over 60 games at home with records smashed all over the place. Mourinho is definitely not your average manager.
He’s been a breath of fresh air in this country, a manager who was able to break the duopoly of Wenger and Ferguson, and whilst beating them at football he also upped the stakes in mind-games too. There isn’t a manager with a comparable record anywhere in the world, and whoever replaces the "special one" will have massive shoes to fill, and a hard act to follow.
At the moment the details are sketchy and I’m sure the picture will become clearer as the day goes on, eventually we’ll know whether he was pushed or indeed if he walked, but whatever has happened and with everything else aside, I’m sure that all Chelsea supporter will miss the man who helped make their dreams a reality.
