the world 'walahi' is like its any word in the somali vocabulary....ive seen somalis blatently lie about something and they use 'walahi' to back themselves....
we need to stop together as somalis people and limit this word...it means 'I swear on Allah's (PBUH) name'....very serious...not somin to joke about wiv.
Especially the new generations on somalis (16-19)...anyfin u say...they reply with 'say walahi'....it needs to stop...who agrees wimme?

People seem to think it's alright to use 'wallahi' in every single sentence. I once heard on a islamic lecture that saying 'wallahi' too often is a dambi
