Re: how to pray
Go to your local Islamic bookstore and get a book called "The Prophets Prayer Described" by Sh Albani (Raximahullah) Its no too long, and it will show you how to perfect your prayer because it has all the fine points of prayer according to Rasululah (SAW).

Re: how to pray
Helwaa, Istagfurulaah why are you always so negative? It doesn't matter what his/her screen name is, what matters is the person is asking a very important Question. The problem these days is, sadly, that alot of people Do Not Pray--simply because they Dont Know How Too!! It's sad, but honestly it's true.. Many parent's assume thier children are being taught how to pray in dugsi qur'aan or assume they will pick it up from them or taught them before, but it didnt register and now it matters!!
& What is the problem with sharing knowledge?
This is one of the knowledges you should not be holding back at ALL!! It is a compolsurary act of worship. And if he/she is serious my Allah reward him/her and make it easier ..Aameen!
Luq_Ganane, that is a great book, MashaAllah, but there are other books which are more simplistic ones for beginners. This one, I personally feel it is more for those who know the basics and want to move on. Is it byl Shaikh Muhammad Nassir-ud-Deen Al Albaani?.. if so, it is a tad-long for a beginner.
I advise you to (this may sound patronising but, seriously, you can learn it in days!!).. Children's prayer books, they usually come in pocket sizes.
The other one which is really nice is this;
http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/ ... _228830446
Look for it in your local islamic bookshop, its slim, short, with pictures, illustrations, short surah's in arabic and transliterations/translation to get you started and duc'aas! Also includes hadiths and how to perform Wudu', the differnet kinds of prayers, etc.etc.etc..
