I used to think Daarood iyo Isaaq iney siman yihiin until I asked several of my Isaaq uncles on their perspective and according to them -----> Isaaq iyo Mareexaan baa siman.

Both Somaliland and Puntland have been engaged in land expansion. We know this in the post civil war, many tribes have lost lands. This is because of the illegal social properties inherited from the collapsed regime like major ports, airports, which aided some tribes at the expanse of others.

Their is no such thing as Darood. Genetically speaking, Dhulbahante and Warsengeli are closer to Isaaq, marehan closer to Raxanweyne, Bantu, Garre and others,Majerteen closer to Sacad/Hawie and others such as Owrtable, Ogaden closer to Oromo and others all of this because of years of intermarriage. Darod is an irrelevant term.

At the end of the day, Somali's are all the same . Reer mudug are closer to each other than reer bari, reer jubba and so on. Simple concept.

daroodnimo doesnt exsist as far as SIYAASAD go,but it will all ways bound us by blood.

i said it before and i will say it again sub clans of darood are able to function by them selfs,but non darods cant pull it off. 8)

Even the small Dir don't rely on it. Dir live in the North, South, Ogadenia, and even Djibouti in their ow sovereign state, they are an empire unto themselves. Same can be said for Darood who inhabit three different countries in large scale. Also Hawiye, who inhabit the best parts of Somalia, and also Ogadenia and parts of Kenya.

It is the tiny iidoor nation, numbering less than a half-million in total, that thrives on brotherhood, despite having their own civil war, which was much worse than any Dooro clash.
