Iran To U.S.: No, You're The Terrorists !!!!!!!!!!
Source: CBS11
September 29, 2007
(CBS News) TEHRAN, Iran Iran's parliament on Saturday approved a nonbinding resolution labeling the CIA and the U.S. Army "terrorist organizations," in apparent response to a Senate resolution seeking to give a similar designation to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The hard-line dominated parliament cited U.S. involvement in dropping nuclear bombs in Japan in World War II; using depleted uranium munitions in the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq; supporting the killings of Palestinians by Israel; bombing and killing Iraqi civilians; and torturing terror suspects in prisons.
"The aggressor U.S. Army and the Central Intelligence Agency are terrorists and also nurture terror," said a statement by the 215 lawmakers who signed the resolution at an open session of the Iranian parliament. The session was broadcast live on state-run radio.
The resolution, which is seen as a diplomatic offensive against the U.S., urges Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's government to treat the two as terrorist organizations. It also paves the way for the resolution to become legislation that - if ratified by the country's hardline constitutional watchdog - would become law. The government is expected to wait for U.S. reaction before making its decision.
On Wednesday, the Senate voted 76-22 in favor of a resolution urging the State Department to designate Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization. While the proposal attracted overwhelming bipartisan support, a small group of Democrats said they feared labeling the state-sponsored organization a terrorist group could be interpreted as a congressional authorization of military force against Iran.
The Bush administration had already been considering whether to blacklist an elite unit within the Revolutionary Guard, subjecting part of the vast military operation to financial sanctions.
The U.S. legislative push came a day after Ahmadinejad told world leaders at the U.N. General Assembly that his country would defy attempts to impose new sanctions by "arrogant powers" seeking to curb its nuclear program, accusing them of lying and imposing illegal penalties on his country.
He said the nuclear issue was now "closed" as a political issue and Iran would pursue the monitoring of its nuclear program "through its appropriate legal path," the International Atomic Energy Agency, which is the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog.
Tensions between the U.S. and Iran have escalated over Washington's accusations that Iran is secretly trying to develop nuclear weapons and has been supplying Shiite militias in Iraq with deadly weapons used to kill U.S. troops. Iran denies both of the allegations.

They say what they don't mean. When your cities are in ruins, your children searching for food in the garbage (does this sound familiar Arab?), your women prostituting themselves to survive........then you will complain about the US YET AGAIN. And yet again I will be here to remind you of the price to be paid by fighting the US.

That also sounds familiar in America. Because of your wars, invasions, occupations and colonizations, what you have described also happens in America. Your economy is on shaky grounds, the dollar lost its value, the unemployed and uninsured on the increase, poverty and hunger on the increase which forces many Americans to panhandle and eat of trash bins, and many American women have been forced to prostitute in order to survive. We aren't complaining; this is about educating/informing those of us who watch too much Hollywood movies and FOX News about the ugly face of America.

Actually, the US economy continues to grow, crime rates are down, the US stil generate 25% of global GNP and ten percent of the world food. Arab, you want US ower to dissipate, but that's not going to happen. For the rest of your life, the US will be the most powerful country on earth.
Re: Iran To U.S.: No, You're The Terrorists !!!!!!!!!!
^ History teaches otherwise. All powerful empires failed in due time. The US economy is totally reliant on China and borrows heavily from foreign countries. The US is vulnerable than it used to be because of ill-concieved global wars, globalization, and the rise of many countries who will soon beat it technologically. China gratuated 500, 000 engineers last year whereas America gratuated 200, 000. It is not having big guns and aggressive red neck policies that will keep the US afloat. It needs more than that if it has to survive. The basic rule established throughout history is whatever goes up must come down eventually.

Mad Mac, the United States is in huge debt, estimated to be $9 trillion. Who will bail out the U.S if their economy crushes. This was one question raised by a leading economist at a public speech. EU, China and all the countries that trade with the U.S will definately bail the U.S out. You have to look at three forms of power when evaluating a country's strength or whether it is a global empire or not. Does the country have Sharp Power, Sticky Power, and Soft Power. May be Sharp power, but neither Sticky nor Soft power. You go figure the rest.

The trade imbalance is an issue...........hence the decline of the dollar.
The national debt is less of an issue than people think it is. It can be made up quickly. You'd be surprised. Growth allows for that to happen.
I do agree US power will wane. But most people here who are "predicting" for it to decline rapidly, are really not predicting that, but rather hoping that.

muslims are tired of oppressive regimes majority of Muslims live in poverty despite some Muslim nations being blessed with resources

"America is the author of 60 years of suffering, death, bereavement,
occupation, oppression, homelessness, and victimization.
America is the usurper of my people’s right to human rights, democracy, civil liberties, development, and dignified life.
America is the abettor and financier of Israeli occupation, apartheid,
repression, terror, and land theft.
America is the protector, maintainer, sustainer and guarantor of
despotism, dictatorship, dynastic fiefdoms, and brutal autocracies,
theocracies, oligarchies, and monarchies in the Muslim world.
America is the evil power that denies my people freedom from a Nazi-like forieng occupation that murders our children and steals our land.
America is the tyrant, global dictatorship that robs hundreds of
millions of Arabs and Muslims of their right to freely elect their
governments and rulers because corporate America dreads the outcome of democracy in the Muslim world.
America treats me and my people as “children of a lesser God.”
President Ahmadinejad further attacked the U.S. presence in Iraq:
"It has become clear [. . .] that the presence of occupation forces on Iraqi territory was for no purpose other than to [. . .] steal the wealth of this land and make use of a base to expand their hegemony over the countries of the region and of the whole Muslim world."

Re: Iran To U.S.: No, You're The Terrorists !!!!!!!!!!
This is a pathetic excuse. Long before America had the slightest interest in the Middle East, Muslim leadership looked exactly like it does now. Look at Syria. This is how almost all the Arab states are structured and have been for a long time. Is that the fault of America. NO. America simply worked with the existing structures to secure oil resources and help protect Israel. That you have been unable to govern yourself is hardly America's fault. There are plenty of other Islamic countries (Malaysia, Morroco, Turkey, Pakistan, etc.) that the US has always gotten along with reasonably well. You're goverments are focked up because YOU are focked up.
