Recently i exploded out of intense madness at a friend, and i ended up spewing my deep thoughts about him.I mean, without censure, all cutting bad opinions but true.ITs not like me to loose it like i did, i guess he touched a nerve.(I must credit him for that i suppose, very few people do go there with me lol) Anyway, upon reflection and contemplative guilt, i find myself needing to 'fix it' because first i am a feeling sweet humanbeing and second-i think the right thing to do. And i assume an apology is a good start to fix it. But i dont want to make a weak apology and give him the benefit of thinking me 'Wrong' and worst apologizing. So how do i make something that looks like an apology, without really apologizing? U know what i mean? Crying or Very sad

IHO, being apologetic and humble doesn’t make one weak. In fact, it is the opposite. Strong people admit their mistakes and weakness.

However, in your situation, I wouldn't go straight to that person apologizing. I would try to find another excuse to talk to her/him and then slip the apology in there. For instance ask him/her question and then say "... and by the way sorry what happened the other day....I was having bad day ....".

And else just move on and forget the whole thing. Pretend it never happened for the time being. After all you are human being.

Many times people feel guilty because they think they have some kind good reputation to safeguard when in fact, they don't have any. And the so-called reputation is phantom idea in their head.

The more you think of yourself that you don't have any reputation to protect, the more you feel less pressured and live your life at ease!.

'Many times people feel guilty because they think they have some kind good reputation to safeguard when in fact, '

This quote struck a cord with me. Laughing It just suddenly dawned on me that i am not really looking to apologize for the sake of 'doing the right thing' or 'feeling guilty' but rather for the sake of sustaining my so called repuatation. I am usually known --at least-in real life that i am sweet and pleasant. When i lost my cool and temper-- my ugliness came out! Shocked Hence i said - i want to 'fix it'--meaning not fixing my fault but my ugliness, and consequently my so called perceived reputation! Basically i want to 'pretty myself' up,once again! Caudubillahi! Shocked

Someguy-- u r a bugger! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Basra,

> I think u are an undiscovered Genius!

Well, you just discovered me, then dear. And this will make you Columbus! Very Happy

No, I am NOT bugger. In fact, I am debugger!. I have been debugging some computer minds(bits and bytes) for a while now!.

But then again, if you figured out that I am the bugger--not the Debugger!. Again, that would make you member of Uncle Bill Gates and his crew!.

Coming back to the topic, Please just be who you are , simple human being who can't be sweet 24/7/365. And please note it is too much stress to rise the bar of some elusive and imaginery reputation and live up to it!.

Not to mention, Basra, many people can detect our "fakeness' when we are trying to be nice and cool headed!. we need to let it go!. You will be surprised how many people never bought into your "sweetness". It could be only in your head!.

I was trying to nice person till i burned out!. Now I am proud to be an assholle and born jerk and I am enjoying being one every minute of it!. After all, it is my life in dog-eat-dog world and I am up all against motherfocking odds!.

To hell with sweetness, dear Basra, love your little life!. Life is too short to prove something that you can't.
