This is a serious discussion. I'm asking a very legitimate question. Maybe sumthin can be done to get people within ur community off the system and lead productive lives.

I've never tasted public/metro housing, food stamps or any Gov't assistance of any kind and I've been in the States all my life (24 years). However I could understand a single mother fleeing a war with 5 kids who's husband is dead depending on some form of assistance from the Government. What is unacceptable however is if the kids growing up in that enviroment don't do something with their oppritunities. The problem with Somali youth is they take the stupid BET African Americans or the White MTV generation as examples instead of the Indians, Asians, Jews etc. who are running away with America as the have a vicegrip on the economy up

Luq,

So you're not an refugee? Where in America were you born? And to be honest, there's nothhin wrong with getting some type of assistance if you fall on hard times, but the problem is the complete and utter dependency that somalis and africans tend to place on section 8 benefits.

I was born in this great nation and I've never been a recipient of section 8 either...(although my parents did migrate here with alot of money) but I never relied on their handouts.

I worked my butt off and continue to do so every single day of my life. I can't understand why people cannot use Section 8 as a stepping stool and not act like the govt owes them sumthin.

Honestly speaking, why haven't you yet legitimized your child and married his mother ? Instead of carrying on the fine jamaican tradition of impregnating young girls/children barely out of puberty, and leaving your offspring to become unproductive citizens and criminals ? Shouldn't you be addressing this instead of bringing your holier than thou attitude and condescending lectures to a forum where your presence is neither welcome nor desired?

adanboy

He doesn't have one. he's here to cause discension because of the rejection he's experienced at the hands of a Somali girl. See, he feels the fact that hes a halfbreed, will have women automatically attracted to him. Maybe with those barrio mexican and 5th ward ghetto heifers, but not with xaliimos.

Show me your demographics that solidify your claims. I'd like to see where Latinos, Indians, African- Americans or Asians have that many people within their household. Shocked

Somalis are notorious for doing that. The problem is you are a burden to our economy.

Actually, no motive but a healthy discussion of things can improve for your people as a community.
