I do. It's a strategic game that requires mastering the opening, middle and end game. You should work on the opening of the game to protect your king. In the opening (there are many known and classic openings; my favorite is the Sicilian opening), work towards "Castling" as soon as possible. Then, bring forward your Pawns, Knights and Bishops; they should be the first to mount attacks. Don't hurry to bring your Queen to the battlefield; it could be trapped and lost. The Queen is the most powerful and versatile piece of the game; losing it is like losing your both hands. Once you have strategically positioned your pieces, the middle game begins; this is where you do serious thinking, analyzing, etc. In end game, you should avoid mistakes and pay attention; you shouldn't be too confident if you have an advantage over your opponent.
Strategy
Castling is an important goal in the early part of a game, because it serves two valuable purposes: it moves the king into a safer position away from the center of the board, and it moves the rook to a more active position in the center of the board.
