Somalia: Shabelle’s acting manager laid to rest.

Mogadishu 20, Oct.07 ( Sh.M.Network)-The body of Bashir Nor Gedi, the acting manager of Shabelle radio has been buried in a graveyard known as (garveyard13) on the outskirt of the capital, Mogadishu, on Saturday.

Bashir Nor Gedi, the acting manager of Shabelle radio died when unknown armed men with pistols have shot and killed him overnight while on his way home from cafeteria.

A large number of people, among them journalists from local and international Medias, family members, friends and colleagues and religious scholars attended the funeral to pay respect to late Bashir Nor Gedi.

Many people told Shabelle on Saturday that they were very shocked and disappointed with the sudden death of Bashir Nor Gedi, the acting manager of Shabelle radio.

The Chairman of Shabelle Media Network, Abdi Malik Yusuf Mohamud Has announced today that the radio and website will temporarily be halted untill the funeral service wrapped up.

The deceased has left behind 10 children and three wives.
Hassan kalkata, a Shabelle journalist, says that they would miss a great man.

“Bashir was hardworking and happy man when he was in the radio compound” says Babul Nor, a Shabelle webmaster.
