The Siege of LasCaanood

Post by Gedo_Boy »

I have been away from Somali politics for a while and now I hear that LasCaanood has fallen to combined Somaliland/Dhulo forces.

I even saw Cadde in military fatigues Laughing

I also heard that Geedi/C/Yussuf are at each other's throats.

Cade has been playing with fire and it is time for him to bear the brunt of Puntland's disintegration. I don't know if you remember Micheal Weinstein, an expert on Somalia's conflict has predicted this to happen after the creation of Maakhir state.

“Cade has been playing with fire and it is time for him to bear the brunt of Puntland's disintegration.”

Cade should be the least of your worry’s as far as I am concern sxb, Somaliland hasn’t still given up on the idea of closing the old British drawn border, the sad part about this very fact is their riding on the backs of other Warsan’s in achieving this very goal as we all have witnessed in Dhahar. Now, I don’t know what disintegration your talking about but the Puntland I’ve always known has been Northern Mudug, Nugaal, Bari, and Karkaar, and their all very much well managed as we all have witnessed in Bosaso these past two days since its governing body is more than willing to put anyone who steps out of line back in place.

In paper SSC might be part of Puntland but in reality we both know the truth, can we really say where their support lays? I doubt it given what has happened in Dhahar and what is happing in Las Anod. Blame your confused bunch first not Cade, the man took a clear stand when he took power and that was ignoring the confused bunch all together, and I sure hell don’t blame him for that. I know where the blame lays and its with the people of SSC who are still reluctant to face reality, be one again and take a clear stand god damn it intaa nacnacda dhaaftaan!

^ well said sxb. Cool

the havoc in Laascaano should serve as an example to those who are reluctant to face their bad apples.

as for the Warsans, what are they if they don't control Cerigaabo? and if the current trend goes on for another decade they will be calling themselves Habar warsangali.

Young you made many contradictions, SSC entity proper is a Dhulo entity has nothing to do with Warsan and the Dhahar incident is due to both a combination of no support militarily in "PLs" Sanaag region and Addes administrations last battle in Majiyan for mineral exploration of Sanaag. PL is on the verge of disintegration whether you want to believe it, Maakhir has always existed prior to the formation of PL and Sanaag being under PL. Dhulos are a different case both genelogically and politically they have many things in common with the Isaaqs. Isaaqs whether they dream of securing British boarders will never do especially on Warsangeli Country, we dont share abtiyaal nor share anything else except Ceerigabo. Dhahar wasnt a Las Anod case and there will never be a intra-clan warfare between Warsangeli sub clans however there seems to be tenchen between the Warsangeli native civilians of Bosasso, Dubeys militias and Puntland that can result to further distabalization of Puntlands commercial capital and a divison of the city between clans.

All LAND between BURCO and CEERIGABO in the 50s WAS DHULBHANTES LAND. Today thats not the case Warsangeli occupy Ceerigabo and land west of it and continue to gain more. The Dhulbhante lost control of Ceerigabo just as they lost Burco, your lack of knowledge and sht talking doesnt say much. In the next decade we might as well take both burco and ceerigabo and the desert Bosasso. I predict in the next 5 yrs Bosasso will be under Maakhir rule.

about your first post.

a) you're right, warsangali does not have deep division. whereas dhullos have too many leaders vying for power, and majerteen have a system of toppling one another, warsangali don't have any militant or selfish leaders within them, not ones with power anyway.

b) warsangali aren't in the economic or military position to destabilize puntland. warsangali live in maakhir proper, they no longer have anything to do with puntland and their effect on the economy or politics of the region is obsolete. it is as likely as puntland destabilizing foreign somaliland or vice versa, totally different entities. they have as much effect on bosaso's destabilization as ali saleban or isa mahamud, the least they can do is call cadde's army out to attack them or skirmishes with outside villages, nothing epic.

sangub has digressed.

Western Bari, lands West of Bosasso and Bosasso is Reer Salaax, East of Bosasso is Dubeys.

These Majarteen sub clans ou speak of have nothing to do with Bosasso, Dishishe are its primary inhabitants and rulers of that port town. The only port Warsangelis are using is Bosasso, the business class are based in Bosasso, if that were the case were we werent in a position to destabilized PL how was it possible that the ICU had Adde trembling and obeying there orders in changing rule to Sharia. Your giving PL to much, Somalia is based on clan hegemony, Bosasso is in the middle of Warsangeli territory. As long as the Warsangeli business man, clan elders, militia and Maakhir see Bosasso of interest and importance there will always be a threat. Whether its ignored or not and at the end you'll hear about the siege of Bosasso by puntlandpost Laughing Laughing Laughing

Yes, Ceel Afwyn the Muxumud reside and live in that region. Las Qoray is the commercial captial of Warsangeli Country, it was besieged and made into a ghost town, merchants left for Berbera and Bosasso later. Jamaal you know nothing of the Warsangeli even reducing them to Habar, stick to what you do best whatever the fock thats suppose to be. Smile
