kurds and palestinians
why do most lay muslims-people ignore the struggle of the kurds? the majority are sunni muslims and their land is divided among turkey, syria and irak. they are not arabs like the palestinians, why don't the kurdish deserve their independce? most lay muslims admire the brave muslim warrior salahudiin who was a kurd, but no muslim cares about the struggle of his people, the kurds, why?

Re: kurds and palestinians
What focking struggles?
---> Kurds have a GDP per capita above $1000, and Palestinians average at around $800. They both have beautiful and prosperous home cities and such.
---> Somalis have $550 GDP per capita, worst in the world, no president or leaders, no cities, no roads, no respect or recognition.
Why the fock are you worrying about furry middle eastern creatures who live better than you nor give a shit about you!?

if you dudes were really serious about peace & prosperity in somalia you will cease discussing tribal wars & tribal fighting in cyber like you all are cyber warlords. your very own actions is making somalia poor and poorer. palestinians and kurds are fighting invaders not their own fellow somalis.
phd i support somaliland's independence.
back to the topic. why do muslims neglect the kurdish cause?

The Kurdish regions in Turkey, Iraq and Iran all have oil. If Kurdistan is allowed to be created then it would possibly have the largest proven oil reserves in the world. Now why would the descendants of the crusaders allow the descendants of Ayoub Salahudin to possess such wealth?

This is hillarious. Has it occurred to you that the rest of the world doesn't frame its decisions around what happened in the 13th century?? This is a strangely Muslim thing. Sense may be short in your parts, but memories are long.

non-sequiter.
That oil is now in the hands of Turkey, Iraq and Iran. How is the creation of a Kurdish state going to put it in the hands of the descendants of the Crusaders? Are the Kurds suddenly going to become Christian?
I think you greatly underestimate the power of nationalism and the international market in oil.

You terribly misunderstood Xoogsade. The western world is ignoring The Kurds' plight and denying their right of selfdetermination, because they are NOT crusaders and NOT Christian and never will be, but the people of Salahudin Ayoub, the Muslim hero who has taught the evil Crusaders (the fundamentalist terrorists of their day) that the Ummah is not to be messed with.
The man has a point, had the Kurds been Christians in a sea of Muslims, things would have been drastically different in the ME.

Had the Kurds been Christian, the entire history of the ME would be different. The point is, they are not Christian. They are Muslims, with their oil being held by other Muslims. A Kurdish state will not make that oil Christian.
