The Somali Spoken on S/Net Forums!
I have noticed the Somali spoken on this site has got to be the most diverse & the toughest to read or comperehend. With what some forumers write, I have great difficulty even grasping a hint of what they write.
I studied standard Somali as taught in schools prior to the civil war, that beautiful Somali has somewhat disappeared from much of the writings as found on most Somali websites these days. Instead what you have is Somali reflecting the dialects of whatever region the author represents and in most cases it is painful to finish reading a single paragraph.
In most cases, the spellings, sentence formations, gramatical structures and word groupings are misused and neglected, which makes everything even more confusing. If English is your better language, please stick to English and safe us all the hassle of trying to understand what you are trying to say.

Maya, adeer! You & others who taught yourselves Somali are heroes in my opnion, you guys have never attended school in Somalia and were never taught Naxwada Af-Soomaaliga, yet you manage to produce readable sentences. I am talking about others who do their best to corrupt Somali by inserting their dialects in to every sentence and killing the language.
Keep up the good work!
Helwaa,
I'll personally offer to teach you Af-Soomaali, but I am not cheap, it will cost you!

Helwaa,
I can't disclose my fees in public, check your PM, dee!
Qansa Gabeyle,
Walaahi, with some stuff some people write, I give up and have stopped reading their stuff. There are some very good Somali writers and I am reminded of the good old times.
