Yes, I have heard my grandmother talk about it being settled by Cawliyahan at some point, it was mostly settled by nomads back then, she used to tell us tales about how the English used to capture Ogaadeen nomads, kill off their livestocks and expel the men from those territories. This forced many Ogaadeen families to move out of cities in NFD and spill in to Baardheere, even as far as Diinsoor, which is where my father was born.

Not to mention that Bardhere was always a center of learning and scholarship, and that attracted a lot of people from everywhere. I've seen Arab, Warsengeli and so many other "Reer Bardhere"
