true the name is bigger than the town, but it's people have spoken,

I swear the first thing that came to my mind when I saw that is that Lascanood looks 10x better than Xamar today.

Potential aside, the thing that makes that city are the people who live in it. Xamar WAS a gem when there were smart, productive people living there but when they all left in '91, the monkeys and lowest of the low took it over and now it looks as if two atomic bombs were dropped on it. The sad thing is now its even getting worse. RIP Xamar.

As far as Xamar goes, it will always be a circious and Tigray/AY are always going to be shidding on it from now, until whenever Somalia becomes a reliable nation which might take a generation or two. Inshallah Kismayo (By Sea,Air) and Beled Xawa-Mandera will take over as the defacto supply routes for entire Somalia
