Why are somali so Formal???

Why are somalis so formal in the way the conduct them selfs with strangers especaily another somali. Have you guys wondered or witness this in our somali culture??

i.e---- Young man in 19 to 22 at grocery store....is approched by man in mid 40's " hey boy come help me find me this (item) " Dude is thinking does this bastard think am his song or waaw??? but the guy helps the camal herder lost in walmart....



i.e 2 ___ in a somali restruant for lunch ....waiter is some old guy in his mid 30s you are in 17
waiter asks what u want in rude way " what do you want!!!" :? and then asks you whos son are you and starts taking to u about personal stuff


i.e3 old somali you at college and these somalis start to talk to u and are like tring to figure u out and ask u some dumb ass questions .. where u from? or even worse as you for help with some class work!!! :shock:

Older somali people are ususally demanding and out right offense towards younger people that are somali weather you are buying somyhing from a 99 cent or restruant



younger somalis think that most of the friends or people they deal with is somalis and that every somali should be formal with them n vise verse???



Walhia its really creepy when a whole society is formal and in your business

I think u mean informal
because formal --means professional, there is nothing wrong with being formal but you can only be informal with your close friends!
