Mogadishu 01, Nov.07 ( Sh.M.Network)- A locality commissioner of Hawladag district was shot and killed by unknown
Armed men, on Thursday evening, as fresh fighting between Ethiopian soldiers and Islamic insurgents taking place in Suqa Holaha neighborhood in Mogadishu.
Ali Hussein Ibaar, Saqawu Din zone commissioner has been gunned down by unidentified armed men with pistols in front of a pharmacy in Hawl-Wadag district in the South of the capital Mogadishu, Somalia.
It is not clear who was behind the officer’s killing but is believed that his killing is part of the coordinated killings against government officials.
According to eyewitnesses, the murderers escaped from the area after they had fired more bullets on the commissioner.
Hawl-Wadag district administration has no immediate comment of this latest killing.
Meanwhile, fresh fighting is being reported between insurgents and Somalia government .forces allied with Ethiopians in Suqa Holaha one of the most violent places in Mogadishu.
According some local residents, the exchange of heavy weaponry by both sides could be heard in Suqa Holaha neighborhood.
No causalities have been reported so far, as dusk falls.
