illiterate women can manage their families just as much as a literate women. the difference is that the illiterate ones will have to be 100% dependant on their husbands (not just financially). question is, since the calibre of today’s farax is incessantly declining, can a xalimo truly afford not educate herself? for the sake of her family that is(including the farax himself)...

abdi,
why don’t u get yourself an illiterate one from Africa..she will be like a blank page, u can program her with your likes dislikes etc etc. why bother with a headstrong educated xalimo who marches to her own tunes?

Zulaika,
An import will cost me thousands of dollars to get here, hundreds of hours educating her on life in the west, countless hours at immigration and a strong possibility she leaves me after becoming friends with the Zulaikas of the world.
Why not just go for a hard headed Xalimo who requires much less ? If things sour, we go our separate ways without me thinking of all that I invested into her.

Aw252,
I see you've already done a cost analysis.
To be honest, a good girl is a good girl any or everywhere. I've seen some imports from Kenya camps and in a few months they're running around like the chicks from Desperate Housewives.

Inteligent is the most but there's educated women who have degrees but they got no drop of smartness or wisedom. Our grand mothers where illiterate in the terms of degree and schooling but where smart, noble, pure women.

Brother Gedo,
If I were to marry a Xalimo, the only major legal cost I would pay would be to convert her VA License and Car plates at no more than $150 compared to the numerous INS applications, airfare, phone cards etc.
Keep it local I say !

Zuly,
Just because you are smarter than your Farah and persuaded him to give you his acct no., email password and cell phone password doesn't mean all Farahs play to that tune, some of us have brain above our shoulders
