I will not give details on the movie to spoil it for everyone.

Overall, the movie is OKAY. I do admit getting caught up in the hype but it is an OKAY movie to watch.

Denzel Washington did a lackluster performance in the movie. Nothing close to the villain he was in "Training Day." He hardly spoke much in the movie.

Russell Crowe carried the movie. He put on a much better performance of the movie. He actually made me sympathize with the Police.

There was a lot of popular Hip Hop Stars and like that put on dismal performances. They could have done a lot better but did not.

PLOT - Director Scott Ridley seemed start the movie off very slow and suddenly rushes at the end. A series of coincidences seem to start the sprint to the end.
He failed to give any real substance to Denzel's character. You would think that Denzel would have played a bigger role than Russel Crowe.

Overall, I give this movie an OKAY. It is worth waiting the 2 weeks until you can use your discount passes.

What? I thought Dezel was unbelievable. I'll admit though that Russel Crow will probably win the Oscar. I also agree that the assortment of brain dead rappers wre louzy

Overall I'd say the movie was like a 9 out of ten. Movie of the year perhaps.

I expected this movie to join the league of "SCARFACE" but came up very short. I was hoping Fred Lucas was going to be our generation's ToNy Montana.

The braindead rappers really pulled the movie down.

Cuba Gooding Junior made an easy paycheck on this movie. He hardly had more than 10 lines in it.

Critics are dogging it for UNDER PERFORMING for a 2.5 Hour Flick:

I like the movie. There were more elements of dialogue as opposed to full fledged VIOLENCE and not too overhyped shootouts.

Denzel was brilliant but I felt he was holding back. Crowe su*ckeddddddddd he needed to lose weight for that role or something. He let himself GO!

But back to Denzel, when he was introducing himself to his futuer wife, that scene was I loved it. Even I feel for it, it was that smooth!
