IF YOU COMMIT ZINAH.......

Post by HELWAA »

Asalaam aleykum

Messenger of Allah (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When a person's son matures and he has the financial ability to marry him but does not do so, the boy will commit sin and the sin will be on the father.

Helwaa,

The question is in this generation...The sons have more money then the dads...and actually most of them are taking care of their fathers...Then I wonder how on earth will it be their fault if they choose to swim in Zinna? Sometimes it is scary to think about what some Hadiths are saying...

I think Allaah SWT is always mercifull and he sees the situation... Sad

kambuli,

But the hadith is IF the father is wealthy and he doesn't marry his son. That's only an *IF*

If the father is poor or can't afford it, then no blame on him.

children is the parents resonsibility...if we dont raise children to be
good muslims ilaahy yoma al qiaama adigo ayuu ko waydiineya.

the Prophet, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, said,

"All of you are shepherds and each one is responsible for his flock. A leader of a people is a shepherd and responsible for them. A man is a shepherd over his family and is responsible for them. A woman is a shepherd over her husband's house and his children and she is responsible for them. And a servant is a guardian over his master's property and is responsible for it. So all of you are guardians and are responsible for your charges." (Bukhari)

^^^

are you talking about children, or adults committing zina or wealthy parents advised to marry off their sons before they commit zina? you are making people confused when you assume that parents are responsible for the actions of their adult children.

Responsibility Towards the Actions of Others

As regards your question, it should be clear that the general rule in Islam is that every adult person is responsible for his/her behavior. Neither a husband nor a wife nor parents nor children will be held accountable for the actions of their partners or children as long they have done their part in advising and teaching them.

In his response to your question, Sheikh Ahmad Kutty, a senior lecturer and Islamic scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, states:

I have not come across such a hadith. It does not seem to be a sound one either, for it seems to contradict some of the best known principles of Islam that have been well-established in the Qur’an. Unfortunately, often we find people attribute certain statements to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while they have nothing to do with him; they may be simply statements of people.

According to the Qur’an, the general rule in Islam is that every adult person is responsible for his/her behavior. Thus we read the following in the Qur’an: (Or has he not heard the news of what is in the scrolls of Moses and Abraham who fulfilled his duty, that no soul shall bear another’s burden and that each can have nothing save what he strives for…) (An-Najm 53: 36-39). (He who is rightly guided, it is for himself, and he who goes astray, it is to his own detriment. No soul can bear another’s burden. Nor do we punish until We have sent a messenger) (Al-Isra’ 17: 15).

However, this does not mean that we must wash hands from counseling those around us to do good and forbidding them from evil. We must fulfill this duty; but ultimately every one is responsible for his/her actions. Just as a man is responsible for his actions a woman is also responsible for her actions. Neither a husband nor a wife nor parents nor children will be held accountable for the actions of their partners or children as long they have done their part in counseling them. Allah has narrated the stories of a number of prophets in the Qur’an whose children and spouses perished because of their sins; and the prophets themselves were not considered as accountable for their sins.
