All those people that are anti TFG and Anti ICU like Somaliweyn should get together and create New Party. I am sure It would be popular considering the mistakes that the ICU and TFG Made. What do you think?

Actually I would like the ICU but the ICU that existed when they first tookover Mogadishu not the ICU that wanted to attack everywhere and had illiterates like Indhacade speaking for them.

The ICU were the same in the beggining or at the end. Its just the more they grew in stature the more they though they were world beaters. When they cuptured Moqdisho and Kismaayo they though everything should be easy

Even though i support the ICU even till today they had made couple of mistakes like taking over regions outside their control like Kismaayo instead of making a deal with the people.. Most somalis would have accepted them anyways...

What I don't understand is if they were so courteous of the clan suspicions in Xamar with naming different clan courts each dealing with their own clan, what did they expect from Kismaayo where the clan differences between them and the people was even bigger and more explosive?

To be honest, in this particular period it is extremly difficult for Somalis to come together and start something and finish it to the end.

One look at our history shows why it is difficult to unite the diverse clans into one unitary group ''Somali''

The very fact that the anti-imperialist struggle against the European powers had a ''religious unifier'' speaks volumes.

It seems like that we can come together for the sake of our people on the concept of ''Islam''...which even itself can not withstand the clannism which always sneaks in from the backdoor.


The solution to our predicament lies in the carefull objective study of our history and the main reason why we always failed; Somali clannism.

i agree. with a comprimise and respecting each other. but not with the TFG OR THE IUC

we need fresh people with no past of warlordism or killing. because lets face the truth walaahi no one will accept a warlord from a different qabil rulling them even if he has repented and became a sheikh.

Way ku fureen rasaas but but that did not stop Sade from bomb attacking them at night and that was the first time the message was sent out to the world that Somalis were infact not supportive of the ICU. Before that all of the legitimacy was with the ICU, but after that Kismaayo cased was used to death by the TFG in the conferences in Sudan and Kenya which they made the point that Somalis did not want these people and were filled with foreign extremists, which was true as I was reporting on the days of the capture the people of kismaayo are saying there are more Oromos and non-Somalis than Somalis in the militia and few Mareexaan dabo-dhilif who were used as merceneries and the world now writes of this fact.
