first of all I’m not in any way or shape doggin’ my good God fearing wadaad girls. One of my gooooood and closest friends is a wadaad girl(God bless her soul) anyways…recently she met this farax through MSA. She says he had put the word out to other MSA members who knew her that he was interested in her and she said he had asked for a supervised date. I was like WTF??? like he had one of his friends approach her with a note about the date...she was offically served and is to be summoned for a date..

first off, what biz does he have going on dates when he is a wadaad and to fuel that fire of embracement he has to have it supervised?? I was like naayaa if you go out with him and his 10 supervising friends…aniga iyo adiga imsa sheegano. I even asked if she could let me talk to him or at least let me sit in on the date so I can confront him as to why he has to embarrass her like that. if he wanted to do the whole supervised while we together thing(which is perfectly understandable).. why don’t he just do it the traditional old fashioned way of having his parents do lunch with her parents while they are both present in that setting?

Anyways, I’ve comet learn that this is a big thing among the wadaada youth…they go on supervised dates(with their friends) that to me look more like multiple double-dates on a one big fat date.

I used to be part of the MSA and I know how awkward that could be. Sometimes depending on who the president was at the time the sisters would be in the other room so we couldn't see them. I was like the class clown of the MSA and sometimes I would make the sisters laugh uncontrollably

Why not just meet at a public place and talk on the phone?

As far as I know, the whole point against dating is the seclusion and being together alone and the potential for things to build and "1 thing lead to another".......

I don't think you're gonna make out at the Food Court in the mall or a public place so if your intention is to get to know each other for the prospect of marriage then you should at least be able to talk and see each other without your Salafi MSA friend looking at you like you're a womanizer and making comments on how your 'date' is wearing a jilbaab one size too tight
