No, the venue is not that expensive to pay off but this is a fundraiser of course. In London conference of SDF they raised over 200,000 dollars in one day

Everybody needs to open their wallets and give every penny. Theres no Gov, so we need to take the inititive. Look at the Eritreans. This Erirean co-worker I have sends a bunch of money annually to the GOVERNMENT.

I'm good walaal, alhamdullah. I haven't grown meaner, I just don't see the point of spending money on a conference when I'm sure one of my family members could do much more with the same amount of money. I'm just being realistic.

waa runtaa, but It doesn't hurt to help other people in Somalia(or Africa) who don't have family in the west and there are many. So long as any money raised is going to schools, and not to fund war waa caadi. I don't know enough about this organization to make a verdict.
Maybe, you're a realist or just a disappointed idealist? Don't let this place or Somali's take your optimism away from you.
