Key things to remember about jumma prayer!...

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:

The Prophet said, "Ghusl (taking a bath) on Friday is compulsory for every Muslim reaching the age of puberty."


Narrated Abu Huraira:

I heard Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) saying, "We (Muslims) are the last (to come) but (will be) the foremost on the Day of Resurrection though the former nations were given the Holy Scriptures before us. And this was their day (Friday) the celebration of which was made compulsory for them but they differed about it. So Allah gave us the guidance for it (Friday) and all the other people are behind us in this respect: the Jews' (holy day is) tomorrow (i.e. Saturday) and the Christians' (is) the day after tomorrow (i.e. Sunday)."

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, "On every Friday the angels take heir stand at every gate of the mosques to write the names of the people chronologically (i.e. according to the time of their arrival for the Friday prayer and when the Imam sits (on the pulpit) they fold up their scrolls and get ready to listen to the sermon."

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “Whoever neglects Salaat al-Jumu’ah three times with no good reason, Allaah will put a seal on his heart.” (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 460; he said: this is a hasan hadeeth).

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:

"If anyone omits the Friday prayer without excuse, he must give a dinar in alms, or if he does not have as much, then half a dinar."
[Abu Dawood 1048]

Allah Most High says:

“O you who believe! When the call for Friday prayer is made, hasten towards the remembrance of Allah (Prayer and Khutba) and leave all transactions. This is best for you if you know.” (Sura al-Jumu’a, V: 9)

Abû al-Dardâ’ relates, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whenever there are three in a village and they do not establish prayer, Satan gets power over them.” [Sunan Abî Dâwûd, Sunan al-Nasâ’î, and Musnad Ahmad]

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “Let people stop neglecting to attend Jumu’ah, or else Allaah will seal their hearts, then they will be among the heedless.” (Reported by Muslim, 1432)
