the dollar is the currency most used in international transactions, entire industries depend on dollars like the oil industry etc

Screw I was just reading that article. He even called all the cash and security reserves of member countries of OPEC to convert to a non-dollar currency. What a brave man.

King Abdullah knows that to even entertain talk about the dollar would be disastrous for him....
He doesn't want to be labeled 'Sponsor of International Terrorism' that would be a 1-wk project 4 the media...whereas Chavez/Ahmedinijad don't care and will try to let the US go down w/ them

How do you divest 1.8 trillion dollars from the American banks....they keep printing paper.
The Saudis are sitting on false credit....they bought false paper...and they own trillion of it.

That's just grabbing soundbytes, nobody can take ahmadinijaad seriously with statements like that. Afterall, the total GDP of the Islamic Rep. of Iran is less than that of the state of Illinois. Also, why mention it at all? Iran diverted selling its oil in Euros long time ago, and if anything they are benefiting from the cheap dollar in contrast to Saudi and other OPEC states.
