U.S. TV self-help guru Dr. Phil McGraw was hit by a truck while he was chatting to fans, by phone, on a syndicated radio show.

Dr. Phil was a guest on DJ Kidd Kraddick's show on Wednesday (14Nov07) when he was "sideswiped by some truck."

Speaking about the accident on Thursday (15Nov07), McGraw joked, "I'm fine... He stopped and of course he got out of the car and he goes, 'Oh my God, I've hit Dr. Phil.'"
