Why does this forum rack so many dull and useless threads?

Are threads such as -> 'Biggest wanker on Snet' to 'what type of mobile/underwear do you have/wear' intellectualy statisfying? What happend to the intellectually stimulating discussions that once had presence on this forum, not too long ago.

Secondly, why does unabashed hypocrisy seem to be the norm here. You have people engaging in Islamic topics/argument the first minute and boldy engaging in un-Islamic threads/arguments the next minute.

Even those who profess to possess Islamic knowledge seem to be shamelessly engaging in this abhorrent act.

I feel like I have lost some brain cells reading some of the topics.
