Relax, this is not an attack against Hawiye.

This is about the sad reality of Somalia.

Too bad most of us could not enjoy the urban life in Mogadishu and have to be in Western countries looking at wonderfull pictures about the past.

It is funny how the older generation could enjoy that life...and how they were the ones that also destroyed it, and thus brought us in this sad situation of looking at pictures Laughing

The question is Somaliweyn, how can we make Somalia even better looking than those pictures so we can at least enjoy it in old age.

Thats a good question we need to answer, since we cannot afford to live the rest of our life in Western countries while looking at pictures Laughing

I believe the younger generation will answer that question, while the older generation slowly dies out.

I think we need to move far beyond this destructive blame game. It is apparent from history that every group has had contributed to the current vicious circle of clan-warfare being witnessed in Somalia. We need to accept the basic realities of the ground situation and move beyond the current status quo. We should be exchanging ideas instead of who did what.

I feel i was justified to think you had ulterior more subliminal agenda. Its good to know that wasnt the case. But I am talking about the overall picture. Wallahi, in all honesty, this qabil that qabil is boring me to the bone. We have to somehow find a common ground and move on. If you remain silent to problem, you are part of it. As Somalis we have to have a strong optimistic vision, and not be carried away by antediluvian clan bigotry/emotions. I feel that qabilnimo is the last thing we should be talking about knowing its destructive affect on our country.

I must admit. My personal hunch I've gotten from Abgal is that there the least qabiliste people I've been around. Laughing

Never been around too much Hawiye people in general but what I have heard about Abgaal correlates with what you say. Besides we are family now. Never have we mixed but three Abgaal intermarriages entered the family since the last decade. Laughing
