Your Somali hair?

Post by razzberry »

Whats up with you guys and your hair? A good 30% of your post refer to your hair and it texture. Even the male somalis get into it. Is it a culture thing or what?

Examples:
in high school the girls used to like to put their hands through my hair. I remember when I was a freshman this 12th grade girl used to tell me I was gonna have her kid Laughing

For the most part my hair is unkempt and i do not put any effort into my appearance unless it is special occasions, but many females ask me what i put on my face ama what i put on my hair, many people don't believe me when i say i have never washed my face with anything but soap and use water only for my hair Laughing Laughing Laughing

You know why? When we say we come from Africa they expect different hair texture than theirs...They say the same thing to my brothers in school... Laughing Laughing
Ummmm......that was in the same thread and people were talking about pretty boys so you can't take 1 topic from 1 thread and say that's all that is spoken about.

You were getting into it yourself Laughing Laughing Laughing

razzberry,

Why are you talking about hair all the time?

"Now that I do like. I dislike it when a man uses to much pomade and hair gel.
I prefer it when a man has fresh clean hair that smells faintly of shampoo. Perfect for running my fingers through."

True Gedo. But I’m referring to Somali threads in general. It’s something that I notice here a lot. I chose those examples because those were the quickest I could find but if I skim through the threads I’m sure I could find hundreds

Come to think of it. I can think of at least 3 occasions where I had to explain my hair type to a few who were curious Confused Strange but true.

Its because Somalis usually have soft and curlier, or wavier, and sometimes quite straight hair than other black Africans.

Maybe its b/c with your type of hair need no combs or brushes, just using your five God given fingers does the job. Mad What solution is there, that you seen and heard? Laughing
