who do you tend to get along with best? I mean in terms of somali clans, who are your closest friends composed of for the most part? It is always different on the internet because we do not really behave the same, at least I know I don't. So here is my question, what clans do you get a long with best and what clans do you think are just not nice people, judging from your own real experience with other somalis both in the west and back home. It is weird but some of my best friends are people you would never have imagined someone like me, a hardcore tribalist , would hang out with.

I may critizize abgaal but damn i enjoy to be with them. Sometimes there is hot discussion on somali politics but we are friends.I call them for the joke max'ed dheere,they call me aweys or indha cadde.
Beside abgaal and HG,i like to befriend with people from Ghana.

People from Ghana? I don't come into contact with many West Africans down here but the few I met in the past I could not stand. They were all thieving Nigerians and Ivorians.

Helwaa it is because you are a female and guurdoon. The truth is, if you want to meet a good husband, you can't be a tribalist. At least you got to pretend like you are not. When you are settled, I am sure things will change........then again you may be geniune and stay that way if circumstances do not force you to become a tribalist.

I have never actually met a single somali that asked me what tribe I belong to and I have never asked anyone myself. We usually know it before hand and find out through people.

It's soo weird how u have stereotypes of certain clans yet ur very close to them. As for me one of my best mates is Isaaq.....to be honest we are soo close u would neva guese tht we are from different tribes

I know a lot of friends from different Qabiils and aslo have close friends. I have Cismaan Maxamud, Reer Maxamud friends that we Karbash others together. I have Marehan friends(Reer Dalal, Celi, and Wagardhac). I have Dhulos friends and Sacad friends as well. I also know this Xawaadle guy thats always anti the government and argue all the time. I also have HJ and HY friends as well. Don't blame me as I am in Minnoqdisho of Somalis. Also one of my closest friends is a Wacbudan abgaal
