First and foremost I am not surprised by your comment because you are a typical ignorant Somali, mixing cultural with religion and trying to justify it. The quran does not stated that men and women are not equal. In allahs eyes everyone be of different race, sex, or age is equal. The only difference between women and men in the quran is that of inheriting, and it states that men inherit 100% while women inherit 50%, and its not in all cases. Inheritance is depended how close you are to the deceased, and of your age. Sometimes women inherit as much as men, sometimes they inherit more, and sometimes the women inherits while the man does not. The only real case of 100% and 50% inheritance is if a father leaves behind a daughter and son, and the son gets 100% because he has to pay for the dowry and is obligated to provide for the family while the women is not.

Siyaad Barre (aun) addressed the wrong practice of the Somalis, whereby if a father dies and leaves daughters behind her uncles, second uncles, and men from his juffo would come and take all that he left behind leaving the girls and their mom with nothing which is against our religion. Or the girls brother would take all of it and leave his sister with nothing. Siyaad Barre (aun) said this would not happen anymore and stood against it. But ignorant Somalis like you would think "he erased a ayaat from the quran" since you don't know the religion and think that what those old backward men practice is actually the religion.

I do not know why men think women are emotional? There are some cold-blooded women out in the world, that have not cried a tear since birth and would not piss on you if you were on fire.
