I have read "Arrogance" and "Bias", but the Men's Rights Movement has some very fresh evidence of outright lying in the mainstream media (MSM). The following is only the tip of the iceberg of outright lying and antagonism toward Men's Rights. I only refer to experiences I have had with so-called "journalists" regarding the feminist IMBRA law that forces American men to be background checked before being allowed to say hello to women via dating websites:
1) Andrew Marton, Senior Arts Writer of the Dallas-Fort Worth Star Telegram, spent months talking with the owners of dating agencies from August to November of this year. He was told many times that the agencies were NOT "marriage brokers" and the IMBRA law was highly controversial as it is unconstitutional. Yet he wrote a story at http://www.star-telegram.com/600/story/297522.html that was all about radical victim feminism. His most egregious lie was the one about how women who come to America on fiance visas somehow don't have 90 days to see what kind of life their fiance leads in the USA and maybe back out and go home before the marriage takes place if they want to.
I directly asked Andrew on the phone if he was concerned about people keeping their Constitutional right to say hello to others. He said "Yes, I am very much concerned…I did not know about this aspect of the law…you must admit that this women's group Tahirih Justice Center has very smart and persuasive people". He then asked that we communicate by email instead of phone. I then called all his victims (dating site owners).
It turned out that Andrew was lying because he had been told dozens of times about the other side of his story. Somehow his brain would not allow himself to perceive that he was lying. He had known all about how IMBRA was unconstitutional, but chose to ignore even the controversy.
Professional journalists may wish to ask Andrew why he chose to be unprofessional in this case:

Earlier this year, Dimitri Vassilaros, the big-time libertarian columnist for the supposedly conservative (neocon) Pittsburgh Tribune, called me and spoke for hours about IMBRA and wrote a big article that took him weeks to research. The article he wrote condemned IMBRA and condemned Congress for having passed it.
But he then told me that his editors had told him that this article must never be published! He was very disappointed and he half-agreed with me that someone should hire him onto an "honest newspaper" that would allow him to print the truth…but 8 months later he is still working for the Pittsburgh Tribune and he recently lied to someone who wrote to him about the IMBRA story spiking by saying "Jim Peterson is only disappointed that things did not work out as he wanted".
Dimitri Vassilaros is apparently prepared to outright deny that his bosses told him that he was not allowed to write about IMBRA. Ask him yourself if you are near a phone now:

3) Then there is Eduardo Porter of the New York Times. He wrote a huge article condeming IMBRA and praising international marriages in October 2006. But his editors completely rewrote the article to say the complete opposite.
Eduardo was upset about the editorial change to his article and he apologized in writing to his victims (the engaged couple he interviewed). These victims retain all the proof that he apologized in writing, saying that his editors had completely rewritten the story.
Any professional journalist can ask Eduardo and his editors about this. The victims have his email apologizing for the action of his editors. Anyone can ask Eduardo why he is still working for the NYTimes when he could have chosen to retain his honor by taking a better paying job in the marketing department of some corporation that honestly sells a specific product other than Marxist Feminism:

All of the above American "men," each of whom told me personally that they believe IMBRA violates rights, could have spoken out against their editors and/or found better paying jobs elsewhere. None chose to do so.
In all three cases, American "males" who clearly knew they were involved in pushing an unfair agenda, chose to forgo higher paying jobs in order to act as cogs in the wheel of media persecution of better men than themselves. To take the low pay of a journalist to do this, one has to really want to grovel to feminists.
Compare this weak-kneed betrayal of their own gender with the actions of two female MSM journalists over the past year:
Sara Olkon of the Chicago Tribune and Nicole Shapiro of the Seattle Weekly both set out to do articles on IMBRA, but after seeing that they could be honest only by condemning IMBRA and recognizing that international dating sites were no worse than Match.com as a place for two people to meet, they or their bosses decided not to do any story at all. Coming from left wing main stream media newspapers, I consider this to have been an act of journalistic integrity.
It is a shame to be from a society where "journalistic integrity" can be defined as "refraining from doing hit pieces on men".
Meanwhile, Neil Cavuto of Fox News is the only MSM journalist allowing Men's Rights Issues to be discussed. I am impressed that he has let Marc Rudov on television to condemn the unconstitutional Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) two weeks in a row. Needless to say, the ratings go up at Fox News when Marc Rudov mentions men's rights.
