I have a series of question for those civilized Snet members who hold a shred brain cell in their skulls. Please do not get me wrong. I am not here to bash any tribe or instigate any exchange of slurs and foul language. Throughout my experience interacting with my fellow Somalis, I have noticed a number of things such the inability accept others view points especially if it relates to politics and religion, however genuine the subjects views are. I have no idea this aspect of Somali thinking derived down from genealogical thinking of our forefathers or just a mere transformation of the current social and political situation back home. My question is as follows.


Why we Somalis very quick to judge?


Why we Somalis despise the success of our fellow Somalis?


Why we Somalis like to assume we have masters all the knowledge in this world?


Why we Somalis anything we do has to evolve within the tribal/qabil ?


Why do majority of Somalis like to assume we are culturally better than any other Africans in the continent?


Why we Somalis so irrational and senseless when it comes to religion and politics?

Because somalis are barbarians who loves to claim the civilization of others.

Its amazing sahib..i am just buffled by majority of them..they can't stand each other but they can't as well live without each other

TZ just because you are an atheist DOES NOT mean all somalis disagree from religious point of view.Yes Somalis argue about qabils, yes they dont respect others opinions, Yes, they are passive militant war lords sitting in local boring cafes, but one thing they are not is atheists. They NEVER argue about diin, that is in fact one thing that shushes them. 3. Cause we do. Ask a Camel herder in the outskirts of Wajaale the capital city of Norway, he'll tell ya

4. Cause we have roots and like to boast about our lineage

5. Hellooooo!! we are. We don't eat monkeys, our women don't roam the streets with bare flappy tits, we don't address white man as Mastah or Boss, we take cleanliness to a different level and we don't believe there are superior race to us

At last!!Today I have found a civilised Somali on Snet!!In my cosidered opinion based on 20 years of observing Somalis there are several mutually reinforcing reasons for this behaviour.
1.Deep down he knows he has nver accomplished anything and has never truly attermpted to do so.Thus it is easier to claim others achievements as his own or minimise the accomplishments of others-most of the posts are along these lines.
2.This explains why he is so quick to see an opportunity to hate on others.It is constant compensation for the lack of something solid to point up and say I did that. Its the reason why despised Africans in the UK are studying and working while Abdi is subject to random stop and search,he insists the latter are but slaves.
TZ Somali I value your feedback. I will ignore everyone else as they will only debase this thread with trashtalk.

There you again..I was expecting that come. hating others and belittling others Africans for the sake of boosting one's self esteem it has and always will the preserve of some Somalis..the like of you. Why will you like to assume that you are on top Mt Everest both cultural and socially? is it too hard to come to terms just like others that we are neither better nor worse than others! Honestly just look at the respond thus far, I am already judged. First Sir Lugoyo is suggesting that if you read carefully that I am in a nutshell a slave to the whiteman. on the hand the you have the intellectual midget and morally bankrupt "Basra" accusing me of being a fag and atheist not withstanding she has never met me nor spoke to me in length on both subjects matter "Fag" and "Atheist" to ascertain if my views are inline with and favors "Fags" and "Atheist".

The likes of basra are the ones I am talking about. Just like her ill-mannered groupies she is quick to accuse and judge others. Take everything you said and replace it with a different ethnicity and you would get the same answers. Every ethnic group wants to feel superior over one another. Its a human trait.


Also, stop internalizing what Somalis do or say. You're an individual. Your actions can only depend on yourself.

You are rite about the fact every ethnicity like to thing that they are better than the others...its a human trait as you point out..but our one if more than human traits is an obsession...look how we undermined each other..its all about putting each other down. by the way I am not generalizing its a fact based on my experiences with with many of my fellow Somalis...trust I am not putting anyone down...its just I seen it and hear with my own eyes and ears...but having said that..I have seen many down to earth hate feel malis..but they are far and few in between.
