No sane Hawiye would support the secessionist ambitions of the Northwestern region.

And these ambitions combined with been a vassal-state of Addis Abbeba makes it more impossible for a sane Hawiye person to support this entity, considering the fact that Hawiye people are enduring under the Ethiopian occupation.

Who said Hawiye and Majeerteen are not in good terms? Modulood are our allies, Sacads are our neighbors and there are over 250,000 Hawiye refugees in Bossaso and everybody is helping them. The influx is from the poor people of Southern Somalia that made a living in Mogadishu. They are the minority groups of Somalia.

Hawiye people went back to their ancestral regions, others are stuck in Lower Shabelle, the ones with resources made it to Nairobi and are flowing into Western countries...and a few have sought refuge in Hargeisa. Even this small figure had their own resources and bought houses or lives in hotels.
