Is Federalism really possible?

Post by FAH1223 »

http://www.hiiraan.com/op2/2007/dec/som ... _work.aspx

" In our African continent, out of around 53 independent states, only two countries, namely, Ethiopia and Nigeria are currently organized as federal governments, if my memory serves me well. The reason why so few nations today follow the federal system is that, in the view of some experts, it is too expensive and too difficult to apply and manage properly."

hmm..

5 regionial, autonomous States.

Puntland
Somaliland
Jubbaland
Galmudug

I don't know whats gonna happen with Hiiraan, Shabeelaha etc. Maybe they'll merge.

Benadir, Bay/Bakook will be Federally administered States.

I think thats the best Idea. Somaliland, Puntland, Gal-mudug, Hiiraanland , Jubbland and Banaadirland. Moqdisho will be capital and the whole states pay tax to federal government. Good idea

Good idea...Somalis should be free to run their own affairs though, free from any foreign influence...

when there is a viable Somalia government, Somaliland will have to deal with it one way or another

the only ticket for full blown recognition is by your own Somali people, and that comes w/ a Somali government in Xamar...a viable one

but for all intents and purposes, SL is an independent state and has been

but a viable Somali government is like saying, "pigs will fly" or "muktaar loves hoeism" at this current time

its like emperior saying Galbeed will be under occupation till Nabi Isa alayhi salam comes back....smh lol
