It's obscene to call the Sayidka a warlord. Mohammed A. Hassan was a freedom fighter, warts and all.

The first Somali warlord would definitely have to be Ina Yusuf... a man who swore to protect his nation against foreign enemies who instead committed unpardonable treason by forming a jabhad against his nation and led Xabashi troops into Somalia.
