Salaam,

I've heard people recite Quran over water to wash themselves with to prevent the evil eye. For example if someone's hair is falling out because someone was envious of it they can recite Quran over water and wash their hair with it. But i've never seen it done, i don't know how it works and i don't know if it's Islamic or traditional but i've always heard people talking about it, just never queried it. But insha'Allah i'll do some research because i'm intrigued now :)

she was ill he walked in da house, she told she was ill and sed im not cumin ur lesson he went relly, and sed go get me a cup of water, he sat there readin quran over the cup of water for a few minutes den handed it too her n sed drink an say bismillah now sit down n get ur quran book out!!

i dunno if it actually worked...

Well My Mum Does It On Da Regular. Like Literally Every Day And She Makes Us Drink It Every Day And Stuff. She Says Its To Stop Like Da Evil Eye And Dat .Well My Teacher From School Says Its Innovation And Its Not Apart Of The Diin.So Basically I Made My Mum Stop Doing It Until She Proved. To Me Dat It Wasn't Innovation Cos You Kno Dats A Serious Sin Like And Was Either Sunnah Or In The Quran And My Mum Said It Wasn't Haram And Wah Not Cos She Saw A Lecture About It And The Sheik Confirmed Wah She Said...

You See My Mum Reads Quran Over People And She Said Dat Instead Of Doing It Individually
She Can Do It Over The Water And Who Ever Drinks It Will Benefit
But After My Teacher Said It Was Innovation Like Waan Kaa Shakiyaay U Kno Wah I Mean
