Nairobi will return back to Beesha Masa'i like the old days.

One killed as hundreds flee Narok

One person was killed and scores of others were injured in post-election violence in Naivasha.

The local DC, Mr Katee Mwanza, on Tuesday said police officers had been deployed to prevent further bloodshed.

And as tension increases, about 400 people have fled Narok District following attacks. They are now camping in Gondi.
In Maella, a woman, 68, was attacked with machetes and left for dead.

The raid caused panic, forcing hundreds of residents to flee to the Gondi police post. The victims complained of lack of food and water.

Ms Joyce Wairimu, a mother of five, said: "We have been here for two days and no Government official has come to our aid and we continue to suffer."

When The Standard visited the police post, children cried as their parents erected makeshift structures.
Mwanza said his office was making plans to help the displaced.

"These people have escaped from a neighbouring district, but we are making plans to make their lives better," he said.

He called for peace, adding that the Government would not spare anyone who broke the law.
