Would U Accept a Wedding Gift from Your In Laws

Post by AbdiWahab252 »

Luugoyo posted a thread about a guy who is feeling awkward about receiving nice furniture from his father in law.

Would it be odd to accept $300,000 from your future father in law to invest in a business that you & his daughter would own ? Is that too much ?

I ask because its happened to a friend of mine. This dude is perhaps the luckiest SOB I have ever known.

Zulaika,

But seriously, would u accept that kind of largesses ? Be given a tidy sum of cash, a car, a house and what not ?

The best part is my buddy whom I have known since middle school always wants to put me on any deals he gets. He is talking about me pursuing her younger sister LOL.

Executive,

LOL. Real mooryaan don't brag.

From a business point of view he should take the money invest and provide for his wife

As for introducing you to the younger sister.Well how do you know the same will happen to you Abdi!!!!!!!

It might create rivalry between you & your friend in the long run!

Leila2007,

Rivalry ? He and I used to share every penny we used to make as teenagers. His money was mine and mine was his.

I know that he is very genuine about sharing the wealth based on our past.

Zulaika,

I was close with a daughter of an infamous Somali factional leader who was also wealthy. Being a broke young man, she was willing to fund everything and even get us money from her pops.

Then I realized, "Do I want to be investing blood money ? Do I want to be married to the mob ?"

My adeer used to always tell me that no good ever comes from xaram money: it either corrupts you or screws up your offspring.

Abdi

This is the scerio

You both get married to the two sisters. Father inlaw likes your friend more and donates more to him

How will you feel

To make things worse your friend start doing really well within a short period of time!!!

Trust me money is evil and doesnt know friendship lol

Leila,

Why would I care if he was given more ? Personally, I would be happy to see him get more because I know he will help me out if I ever needed it.

If my friend does well, mashallah ! I know that he will always be helpful.

Anywayz, I am not going to marry someone cause of money. I am not poor and don't love $$ that much to stick with someone until my dying days.

Leila2007,

Peace of mind is something thats hard to find/buy.

I am losing confidence in Odinga. Kibaki apparently said he was not going to have international mediation and Ghana's President was not invited.

He seems to back taking that back and the Warlordess Jeyandi Frazer is headed to Nairobi. She can bring some of her disastrous foreign policy (Somalia, Ethiopia) to Kenya too.

I think Raila should just give up and accept the guy won

He wont do anything and the situation is getting worse

I was supprised at how TV regulators allowed that to air.

Normally they dont show people dying or even animals getting killed on TV.

But they showed a luo guy hacked to death live by a kikuyu. I am traumatized!!!!!!!!!!!1

That picture will remain with me for a long time!!!!!!

Any pschologist in S/net!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
