Granted that Obama won points in an State where 93% of the population are white, what are the odds of him coming out a winner in New Hampshire, let alone the Whole of America?
He is not even an African-American per se

The real question should be, would it make any difference if he won?
Trust me, the same people will still be in charge behind the scenes.
The world is not going to shake because of a black guy sleeps in the white house..
Hopefully he can make a little changes though..

American being ready for a black president has nothing to do with it. Barack obama is still a corporate stooge but less of a stooge than others, he has jewish Hollywood support and American national interest is his number one priority.
If he wins the democratic primary he has a pretty good chance of winning the presidency because of he's appeal with independence, and democrats will vote for him.
The hard part is winning the primary. It also depends on who the republican nominee is, he'll probably do better against anyone considered 'establishment' such as giuliani, mccain etc. But might loose to huckabee because he has social conservative support and they are big demographic in the US.

i had a candid talk with a co worker a while ago, our discussion led us into politics and she said that she liked Hillary Clinton, so i asked her, why? "she's strong, she has experience and eveyryone i know is voting for her", she replied, so i said to her, African Americans are always talking about wanting and needing a black president, now that you have the chance, why aren't you supporting him, she couldn't give me a clear answer, so i think Obama will lose the black vote, white america and the rest of the world might be ready for a black president, but black america isn't, in a way they have that in common with Somalis, it's the pride in them that won't allow them to respect one of their own, they soccumb to oursider leadership, no matter how bad. for them it goes back to the slavery days i suppose, and in Somalia's case, Colonialism.

If jesse jackson can get the black vote, I'm pretty sure Obama can too. Also, oprah has influence over black women and women in general and she supports obama.

Black Americans hate themselves. They're self destructive and won't vote for Barack b/c they don't want to see one of them do well.

True but what an inspiration he will be to the young brothas and sisters out there. I called my little sis today and she told me she couldn't talk to me at the moment. She was busy watching a CNN caucus update. Shes not even 12 yet.
