That is quite a shocking figure for one borough alone..perhaps the idea of moving in with the in-laws and constantly having to listen to their preferences for their sons,not to mention being married to an Indian man that alone is a difference case.

Problems with Asia is worse than any other group. I dont know what it is but they seemto have more problems esp suicide and honour killings.

I think because divorce is not allowed and the fact that the entire community turns agaisnt a woman who gets divorced. They also have some kind of discrimination!

I mean 80 women alone committed suicide by throwing themselves in front of a train?

Imagine how many others committed suicide in different ways or even worse how many others are miserable or depressed.


I just brought this up b/c there was a lot of attention on this forum lately about the problems of the Somali diaspora in the UK and it seems like we may have overestimated the extent of our problems.

I'm more surprised that woman get so sexually frustrated to the point where they have to pay for it.

The effects of a crappy culture.Chauvinism is rampant in indian society,it is a cycle. Women are insignificant, abused, preferred to Sons. These very abused women have children, and continue the abuse cycle of preferring their sons and abusing their daughter in laws. This will never end until- man becomes 'enlightened', meanwhile-- Depopulation will happen. LOL

I can understand committing suicide and don't really care, but why in the blue hell would they throw themselves in front of a train? Surly, there are easier and less painful methods.

The Asia problem here is worse than somali problem . We had this guy who set his house with his wife and 4 children killing them and they are all muslims .

Asian community are more closed than the somali and the treat women really bad. Somali women are more in control of their lifes and if a farax turns into a night mare she just gets a divorce the Asian women cant do that. I dont know why? Their culture is shocking when you get to know them and how they treat women!

India is one of the few countries with more boys than girls and it is because so many young girls are aborted when it is discovered they are carrying females.

Part of it has to do w/ the dowry issue.

I think they can divorce technically, but it looks so bad on the women and they are so focused on the dowry money and having to pay it back or something. Too much of a stigma associated with divorce so their society forces women to stay miserable.

Jumping in front of train is painful whats wrong with alcohol along with paracetamol / acetylminopren at least you will die sleeping

The most heartbreaking part is that particular womans mother a few months later also threw herself in front of a train at the same station..she just couldn't get over her daughter and grandkids death..

Pretty sad for these women.

what a horrible culture the have, these people, maybe the should learn a thing or 2 about xalimoz and their burning oily buckets.lol. keeps faraxs in check to never lay a finger on em' lol.
