flying first class
have u guys ever flown first class and did u think it really was not all that?
i've flown it once in my entire life and i didn't like at all. i was still in the same plane as everyone else, traveling @ the same speed, will get to my destination the same time as everyone else, so why pay all that money? i don't get it. now granted the seats are a bit bigger, the tv screen is a bit bigger and since i'm not gaalo and don't care for unlimited booz, its a waste of money in my opinion.

Zulaika,
Its awesome abayo.
I traveled on Emirates on a 12 hour flight and it was awesome. The food was excellent (you had more choice and variety), the drinks were refilled immediately and everything was done on culinary plates not that plastic crap.
I loved it how the Somali stewardess asked me how I would like my eggs in the morning.
Saracen,
Unlimited and the good stuff too. Not the cheap bottles.

abdi,
they have somali flight attendants on emirates? wow, i didn't know.
anyways, its the same to me walahi, i flew Singapore airlines and they're quite up there(literally) in terms of high end service, but still, i'd rather pay good money for a luxury hotel stay than in an airline, the whole flying experience is not well with me anyways, i hate flying so how could i enjoy it when i'm a nervous nelly throughout the flight.lol.

Re: flying first class
zulaika,
I flew on two flights that scared the crap out of me. I was flying in Central Africa on a 4 propeller plane when I looked out the window and saw one was not moving at all. I was shocked and started praying when we hit some turbulence and the plane went all over. U always hear that your life flashes before you die, its TRUE.
My second flight was over the Sudan when the plane hit some thunderstorm and you could hear and see the lightening bolts. I was petrified and started praying like I never prayed before.

Why do you remind me of that?
I struggled 3 years to forget the plane crash i survived. Alhamdulilah, all passengers survived it.

Re: flying first class
business class, never flew first class, although i once spent a couple of hours, sitting with the crew in first class.
turned out that i knew 2 of the stewardesses and also the co captain.
and it helped that the plane was nearly empty...

Zulaika,
I was once on a British Airways flight when they delayed departure because of a problem with the Navigation Controls and said, "The repairman will be here in about 20 minutes to fix it"
The guy comes on the plane with a TOOLBOX :)
For the next 10 hours I could hoped that we landed at our destination.
